Changes to Lincoln House Surgery

In December 2023, NHS Cheshire and Merseyside informed you that Southport and Formby Health would be managing the practice on an interim basis from 1 January 2024.
Unfortunately, Southport and Formby Health have decided that they can no longer provide GP services at Lincoln House Surgery, and their contract will finish at the end of October 2024.
NHS Cheshire and Merseyside is the organisation that plans NHS care for people in Sefton, including GP services. We want people to have good quality, sustainable GP services which provide continuity of care. We have looked at different options for Lincoln House Surgery, but unfortunately, we do not believe we will be able to find someone else to run the practice in the future.
Because of this, we feel the best option is to close Lincoln House Surgery and move patients to other GP practices, close to where they live. I know that this news might be disappointing for you.
You do not have to take any action as a result of this letter – you should continue to use Lincoln House Surgery as normal for the time being.
We will write to you again in October with further information about what happens next. We will only move people to GP practices which are rated as ‘good’ by the Care Quality Commission (CQC). When you move, your medical records will move automatically – you don’t need to do anything yourself.
